Anggota DPR RI 2014-2024 dari Fraksi PDI Perjuangan Junimart Girsang tiba di Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Senin (24/3/2025). Junimart akan dilantik menjadi Duta Besar (Dubes) untuk Republik Italia.
“Saya (Dubes) Italia,” kata Junimart kepada awak media setibanya di Istana.
Junimart mengaku telah dihubungi sejak bulan Juli 2024 untuk menjabat sebagai Dubes Italia. “Saya sudah lama semenjak Juli. Ini kan hanya pelantikan saja,” ujarnya.
Selain menjabat Dubes Italia, menurut informasi yang beredar Junimart Girsang akan merangkap Republik Malta, Republik San Marino, Republik Siprus, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
Selanjutnya, International Fund and Agriculture Development (IFAD), World Food Programme (WFP), dan International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).
Presiden Prabowo Subianto akan melantik sebanyak 31 Duta Besar Luar Biasa Dan Berkuasa Penuh (Dubes LBBP) Republik Indonesia untuk sejumlah negara sahabat.
